Little Big Details isn’t updated much any more but is still a great archive of those little design details that make big differences for their product.
Invisible yet essential sometimes, these are the things that get me excited about design. Not the big glaring obvious pieces of design, but the tiny things that most people will never even notice or consider unless they were absent. Unsung heroes.
A personal favourite I just reencountered that prompted me to post: Taking the headphone jack out of an iPhone while listening to music or a podcast, and having it pause the audio rather than carry on blurting it out loud.
