Good Hill Hunting – When Will gets seriously fucking frustrated by how easy it is for him.

I’ve had the feeling that one or two developers over the years have been close to telling me the same thing, about some ‘tweak’ that I’ve asked them to do, that I am unable to do myself.

That paranoia aside, it’s a good thing to imagine being said by anyone that you need to do something that you can’t do yourself. A sort of humble meditation on the fact that even if you’re a boss or an employer, that you’re just a part of the team and that you need skilled people, and that you need them to want to work with you. 

It’s about that imbalance of what some of us find easy vs what others find impossibly hard. Importantly however, it’s about recognising that we all exist on both sides of this sometimes.
