I’ve had the feeling that one or two developers over the years have been close to telling me the same thing about some ‘tweak’ that I’ve asked them to do, that I am unable to do myself. That paranoia aside, it’s a good thing to imagine being said by anyone that you need to do something that you can’t do yourself. A sort of humble meditation on the fact that even if you’re a boss or an employer, that you’re just a part of the team and that you need skilled people, and that you need them to want to work with you.
