Discovered that the US produced their fair share of public information about Survival Under Atomic Attack, with information such as “your changes of surviving an atomic attack are better than you might have thought” and images like these!
It reminds me of Protect And Survive produced in 1980 in the UK. Searching now, I’ve come across this video which I’ve never seen before:
Also there was the Raymond Brigs classic When the Wind Blows, based on / inspired by Protect and Survive which was beautifully animated in 1986 (featuring a David Bowie opening song!). Excerpt:
