Not literally at the same time, but I finally got round to watching Westworld (one episode to go) and it’s made interesting viewing while also so deep into hardcore theories on artificial intelligence.
I’ll hold back spoilers for anyone that’s not seen any at all yet, suffice to say that it’s not too hard to suspend belief (so long as you imagine a far flung future where robotics, biological engineering and AI have been cracked), and see how much of it could kind of happen. Actually, maybe not, but it’s not like watching Doctor Who or Sherlock which take some real leaps of fictional faith to get lost in.
This video makes loads more sense now I’ve watched as well. Hopkins really is amazing in it.
