Straw camera

I do love an odd camera, and being surprised by new types or methods of trapping light that I’ve not seen before, and so the Straw Camera(s) from Cliff Haynes and Michael Farrell totally hit the spots.

The Straw Camera is an experimental analogue camera made from 32,000 drinking straws.

Such a lovely idea. A kind of mash up of large format, pinhole and photogram. All images above copyright Cliff Haynes and the estate of Michael Farrell. Found via Petapixel .

Speaking of pinholes, I really want to try this classic trick (turning a whole room into one) with one of the rooms at Kingston. Also via Petapixel.
