The YouTube algorithm knows me scarily well as this video is uncannily spot on.

I praise the design of ratchet straps multiple times per year, when transporting something, or as a second pair of hands for holding something together temporally, or most recently, when using them to winch a fallen fence into a position that I could refasten it.
