Baseline levels of conscientiousness

,

XKCD hitting the nail on the head once again:

XKCD comic showing a person sitting a desk, having Conversation with the laptop. Conversation goes Computer: you've got this email six days ago do you want to follow up? Person: oh right I should do that *type type* Computer: Did you forget the attachment? Person: oops yes. Computer: Today is the recipients birthday did you want to mention that? Person: wait is it? The caption under the comic reads: these reminders make me uncomfortable not because computers are getting too smart but because remind me how often I fall short of even baseline levels of conscientiousness

In part, making me yearn again for an app or something that would help me to become more conscientious, rather than just outsourcing or AI-ing it, as per the existence of auto happy birthday wishing tools like this.

In a second part, just another small step toward our pending Idiocracy fate.
